SERVICES & COMMISSIONS

Stone carving, sculptural relief, and bronze work for architectural, and commemorative contexts.

Bronze Medallions & Cast Work

Bronze medallions begin as carefully modeled reliefs in clay, where form, proportion, and surface are developed before the work moves through mold making and casting. These pieces often commemorate individuals, institutions, or historic places, translating sculptural modeling into enduring bronze or ceramic forms that can live within architecture, memorials, and public spaces.

Architectural Stone Carving

Architectural stone carving allows inscriptions and sculptural elements to become part of the built environment itself. Lettering, relief ornament, and carved forms are designed to harmonize with the scale and character of the architecture. Through traditional carving techniques and careful layout, the work gives lasting voice to buildings, memorials, and civic spaces. Disclaimer: Select works shown were executed in collaboration with other studios. Javier R. Alfonzo was responsible for lettering design and carving.

Memorial & Commemorative Art

Memorial and commemorative carvings give enduring form to remembrance. Each inscription or sculptural element is designed with attention to clarity, proportion, and the emotional weight carried by the words or imagery. Through stone and carefully considered design, these works seek to create places where memory, reflection, and dignity can endure through time. Relief & Sculptural Work

Relief carving explores the quiet dialogue between surface and depth. Forms emerge from the stone through careful modeling and carving, allowing light and shadow to shape the final expression. These sculptural works investigate the expressive language of carved material, balancing classical discipline with contemporary artistic exploration. Artistic Collaboration

Collaboration with other studios and artists expands the scale and scope of carved work. These projects often integrate stone carving within larger conceptual installations, requiring coordination between cross-functional teams. Through such partnerships, traditional carving techniques contribute to contemporary artistic works presented in architectural and public contexts. All Colab projects shown were executed with Adam P. Heller Studio and carving squad, on installations by conceptual artist Jenny Holzer.
